Two-Two Terrain Tracks Traditional Cache

This cache is located in Quiet Cove Park in Poughkeepsie, NY. The park is fairly new and is being developed by Dutchess County. There are some new trails and a nice picnic area right on the Hudson River. Be sure to check out the other caches in this park when visiting. The park is open from 9am-4pm at this time. The closing time changes with the seasons, so I’ll try to keep this page updated with the correct times.
This cache is located on the South Trail / Frog Pond Trail loop. It is a short loop and can be done in either direction. It is a cammo’d Lock-n-Lock container approximately 3x4x7 inches. These trails are fairly new and they are working on them, so be careful of small tree stumps and loose trail material. The park is open year round. The cache may be tough to find in deep snow, but the hint could help find it in a foot or so of the white stuff. There is a parking lot near the tunnel access to the river front and another area closer to the exit, but just a couple hundred yards away. Where you park is your decision, but it isn’t a long walk to any of the caches here. This cache is near the Frog Pond and only about 12' from the trail. There is no need to bushwack until you're right next to it. Along the trail there is a nice viewpoint with a park bench that will allow you nice shots of the Hudson and the trains on both sides of the river. Satellite reception can be iffy with lots of leaves on the trees, but the hint should give you no problems if you need it. Enjoy this new park and trails.
