This is part of our Spirit series of the cemeteries of Manistee County. Terrain is fairly flat and it is near a road. You will need your own writing implement.
In this cemetery you will find the monuments for several of Manistee Countys' finest fruit growers, Meister, Bowling, etc.
There is also a stone shaped like Denali. It is for a man who was a bush pilot in Alaska, he lost both legs after crashing into the mountain. He went on to climb Mt.Mckinley and Mt.Everest with artificial limbs. He died of injuries sustained while climbing Mt. Rainier. He wrote a book "The Hill" which tells of his experiences in Alaska.
All Michigan cemeteries are closed from dusk to dawn per state law.
