Getting stumped twice will be necessary to find this hide!
Wedges Prairie refers to a large expanse of land, one mile west of Ladoga, WI. The land was acquired by Salmon Wedge in 1844. He sold acreage to the Congregational Church of Springvale, but the church was later moved to Ladoga. The building no longer exists.
Between here and Ladoga, on the north side of the road, is a marker dedicated to Chester Hazen, the first commercial producer of cheese in Wisconsin."Rising Sun", a translation of the Indian word "WAUBUN", was the name of his business.
This was also the name intended for the township, but was mispelled "WAUPUN".
Chester Hazen's headstone is in this cemetary,( etched with his "Rising Sun" trademark), as well as Salmon Wedge's marker.
You will need to find the"Jones Anchor Stump" marker to finish these coordinates...
N43.43.ABC
W088.41.XYZ
1967 minus the year of Benjamin Jones birth = ABC
2545 minus the year of Elizabeth Jones birth = XYZ
The cache is a camo-taped thermos, and is not on nor near any markers. If a funeral is in progress, please return at a later time.
