The islands of Chuuk (Truk) are rated as the #1 dive site for wreck diving in the world! During WWII, Chuuk served as a naval base for the imperial Japanese Navy. Today, dozens of Japanese ships and planes lay at rest on the bottom of the Truk Lagoon. Divers from all over the world come to visit and explore the wrecks resting in the warm waters of the shallow lagoon.
This cache is relatively easy to find once you are on Chuuk. For those of you not on island, United Airlines operates the "Island Hopper" between Guam, Chuuk and Hawaii and is basically your only way in and out of Chuuk.
The cache is a small container that holds a log and a few trade items. It is located on an old sea plane ramp which is one of the most beautiful properties on Weno Island today. You can plan your dives from the nearby establishment, enjoy the "Island Bounty" or just sit back and relax in this tropical paradise.
Permission has been granted by the management of the Blue Lagoon Resort to place this cache. Good hunting!
Small note on cache maintenance: I travel to Chuuk for business about 8 times a year.
