Geocache Description:

A short moderately stenuous walk up a winding old cart track with spectacular views over Loch Ness.
Parking is avaliable at N57 22.799 W004 22.668 - this is a busy well used carpark, (please be considerate and park in a tidy manner)

Follow the cart track as it wides up the hill. Leaving it on the corner beside a 'Hazel nut sign' (beside the double large oak tree).
Extra care is required beyond this point as you are close to the edge of a deep gorge with large waterfalls (Keep dogs and children under close control). The cache is no where near the edge.

The waterfall you are beside is the 'Grey Mares Tail' one of a series of spectacular waterfalls on the Allt Killianan which desends from the hanging valley above.

Original cache contents (cache is a standard small size tuppaware container) - Tape Measure; Rainbow bubbles; Playing cards; Batteries; Mini highlighters.

Tree cover made pinpointing the location difficult so you may find the hint useful when you get close to the location

Options for extending your visit in the area include:

- The circular walks within the woodland trust property
- A visit to the excellent garden & nursery on the other side of the bridge
- The community forest adjacent to the village of Abriachan www.abriachan.org.uk

It is possible to walk from here to the nearby '69 Steps cache - Use an OS map.

Thanks to the Woodland Trust for permission to place this cache.
