To understand the significance of this unique location, refer to
GCNB5F - "The City That Never Was". More specific information about
the cache location can be found on a plaque located at N 43 degrees
24.815; W 081 degrees 42.399. This cache is located near the
western terminus of a canal which Narcisse Cantin (1870-1940)
proposed to link Lake Huron to Lake Erie. Much of what Cantin
envisioned, such as the St. Lawrence Seaway and hydro-electric
developments, were completed by various governments in Canada and
the USA. Although his proposed canal was never built, many others
were -- Cantin was referred to as "The Father of the St. Lawrence
Seaway." Enjoy the view, particularly at sunset.
