MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of Yarn Doodle to find out about the status of this cache on February 4, 2008. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

There is usually parking on Parker Hill.. Watch out for resident parking only spots and one way streets! The park closes at dusk. The caches are located near the New England Baptist Hospital.

The purpose of this cache is to get people involved in an ongoing art project based on navigation, map- making, the interaction between human and machine and the differences in travel between human and human. How does each individual differ in the way they approach the final destination? Do environmental situations affect how a person chooses to navigate? Do distractions such as a puppy or magnificent flowers cause one to deviate slightly from their intended path? I will be comparing the slight or drastic changes that may happen during different people’s travels along a particular route. The information gathered will be compiled to create images based on these happenings.

So, if you are willing to participate, please choose a colored roll of yarn. Your first step is to attach one end of this yarn to a stick or tree branch near the cache site. As you attempt to locate the second cache loosely drop the yarn. This will mark the path that you make on your way to the second cache.

Please do not pull the yarn tightly; it will disrupt the natural movements that you make. (we don’t want to make it easy for Muggles to see what you’re doing!)

When you’ve reached the second cache, wrap the yarn around a stick or branch and continue to loosely drop it to the final cache.

At the final cache, I would like you to come up with you’re own map. This can be a map of the path you took to get here, or a map of your hometown or even a crazy map about anything! Materials are provided if you would like to sit and make one on the site. Or, if you would rather, the envelopes are provided so you can take
the papers home and make a map later! (Please do not take the water color set!) Please either leave the map in the cache or send it to me in the mail. In return, I have left you a map of my own to take! You are welcome to trade any traditional cache items if you like.

All three caches are in clear Tupperware containers.
