Geocache Description:

Welcome to the new university in town - Geo University (G.U.) Tempe.

The G.U. Tempe is a series of 8 caches designed to experience all types of caches in worthwhile places near ASU and/or in Tempe that include various sizes of regular, off-set multi-caches, puzzle, and virtual-like caches. Each cache has its own demands, follow each syllabus carefully or you’ll miss important information and notes for “G.U. Tempe – Final Exam.”

Our first graduate and receiver of the G.U. geocoin is Tempe's own AZCachemeister! Congratulations also to Bedstefader_Skjule who finished his exam only a few hours later. Both legendary Tempe geocachers finished their degrees Summa Cum Laude! 2007/08 graduates are: Desert GeoRangers, Redtail2000, D.A.D., Crolan, Simpkjee, Lost Clan from the East, PeasinaPod, Inter-galactic Ice Weasels, Highpointer, DbleDutch, Scratch1, Roark&Dallas, GeoQuest Pirates, CTRFLDR, Sonchasers, Hotbreadsie, D'Alvarez's! Classes (caches) required for graduation are G.U. Tempe - Astronomy 101, Native American History/PE 101, World Religions 101, Sparky, Math 301, Biology 201, Geology 101, and Final Exam.

Take the bus, use your bike, walk, find a cache on your lunch break. If you don’t do the work, you don’t get the credit. Cheaters copying from other cachers will be expelled and not receive credit. This is not high school.

A small cache. Bring writing instrument and paper for notes. There is visitor/meter parking very close to this cache. Be aware of special events. Not available during football games. Important to leave cache in the exact spot it was found. Stealth always.

The Geo University idea was taken, with permission, from a series of caches by Photom, next to UC Merced, called G.U.L.Y. (Geo University at Lake Yosemite).
