Geocache Description:

"When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness..."

As American's we all know the Declaration of Independance and how we united as one country to fight for our freedom at its signing.

Just over a hundred years later this country would be recognized for its accomplishments and given a gift from France that would symbolize this freedom.

To this day the Statue of Liberty stands over a harbor in New York watching over those who enter this country. But I'm sure few know that there is yet another Lady Liberty here on the opposite coast in California watching from this shore. True, she is not quite as tall or impressive, nor is she standing firm within a harbor, but she is here none the less. So for those few adventurers who care to explore the wonders of this fair lady, come and see her for yourself.
