More
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The path is almost completely flat, although the first 25m from the
A57 end is made up of large(ish) stone chips. Usual 35mm film
canister. Please be safe and use the
footbridge if you need to cross the busy A57. DO NOT pstop or park
on the A57.
This tree formation reminded me of the movie "The Blair Witch
Project", so I just had to put a micro here. I moved some foliage
to the side to take the photo, but you shouldn't have any problems
finding the spot.

This cache is part of "The Valley" series of caches, along a 6 mile
(or so) stretch of the Sankey-St Helens canal. The canal was the
first industrial canal in the country, and opened in 1757. The
canal linked into the River Mersey, and provided trade and
materials to be delivered to Liverpool and North Wales.
