At one time this was a country church and cemetery. As time
progressed and car took over from horses, It became easier to go to
the big city of Eden for church. After all that building had heat
not just a wood stove. As the two parished merged this church was
used less and less. Until finally the old building was taken down.
All thats left now is the bell. The folks of South Eden are very
proud of the history and as you can see take very good care of the
ancestors.
While here take your time and see if you can find something
slightly odd. (No, not the cache.) I'm in the process of doing some
research to get an answer. When I know I'll let you know.
A small cach for a small cemetery. You'll have to bring a pencil.
Have fun.
The WSQ in the cache title refers to Wisconsin Spirit Quest.
This acronym is used by cache owners in the state to identify their
cemetery caches. As this is classified as a cemetery cache please
note it is NOT hidden on any grave marker or site. If there is a
service going on, or folks are visiting their loved ones when you
arrive please be respectful and come back at a later time. Your
understanding and compassion for those folks will be
appreciated.
