This cache is located at Hebron's historic Prophet's Rock which was recently made accessible.
In 1704 a group of men from Windsor purchased land in Hebron. They arrived in Hebron to explore, intending to establish settlement. Months later their wives decided to make the 25 mile journey to join their husbands.
Unable to find their husbands, the wives scaled Prophet's Rock and called for them. There, at Prophet's Rock, the the families were reunited.
This land was on private properties until deeded to the town in 2003 however it remain inaccessible until recently. Led by a Troop 28 Scout's Eagle Project, the Hebron Boy Scouts of Troop 28 creating a trail to the historic Prophet's Rock.
Limited parking is available. Path is covered with wood chips and may be difficult for strollers and bikes.
