Geocache Description:

A nice easy to find cache on the platform of the old Woodkirk Station. The cache is a 35mm film canister with log book and pencil inside. Only room for very small swaps.

Woodkirk Station on the G.N.R. line through Soothill tunnel was built with a siding to accommodate excursion trains to Woodkirk Gardens. It was closed to the general public in the 1930s but the line to the sandstone quarries were used until the 1960s.
