in our disclaimer.
Altitude 5083 ft. You will like the view. The terrain is rocky and steep beside the cache.
Cache is a non tipical container. The wide valley before you is located in the foothills of the Davis Mountains. The valley was first discovered by Ancient American Hunters. Alpine was first known as Osborne in the spring of 1882 when railroad workers arrived to help construct the Trans Continental Railroad. In November 1883 its name was changed to Murphyville and in February 1888 the name was changed to Alpine.
Remember to look for critters. Be Safe. Try not to get bitten, poked, scraped or scratched. The lens cloth is for the FTF.
The general rule of Thumb for Geocachers should be "Leave it like you find it". That is the rule for Texans so please notice how the cache and it's hiding place are when you find it and put it back the same way before you leave.
REMEMBER! ! ! "LEAVE IT LIKE YOU FOUND IT"
