Geocache Description:

This cache is located in one of the most scenic locations on the Atlantic Coast. It can be found off the Cabot Trail in the village of White Point. This is a must see area if you plan to drive the Cabot Trail. The hike out to the cache is awe inspiring!

To reach the cache you will have to detour off the Cabot Trail at Neils Harbour and travel the coastal road to White Point (having offered tours of the Cabot trail this is a not to be missed site, my personal favorite!) Drive past the last house on the hill and follow the dirt road for 50 meters. Parking is tight, but there will likely be only a car or two. Follow the trail and enjoy the the view as John Cabot did in 1497. The cross is believed to mark the graves of sailers who lives likely ended when there vessel collided with St. Pauls Island which can be seen in the distance on a clear day. As there is little vegetation here the ammo box is hidden under some large stones. Be aware of mugglers due to the openess of the area, and please hide it like you found it.
