A relatively short walk up a well marked, wide, cleared track to a good viewpoint over Cairns.
The cache is a metal coffee can painted black. I recommend you take a refreshing drink as it is a steep climb that will get your heart going, but its a good wide track. There are some nice views from the cache site, and there is an area of grass you could have a really nice picnic so take some snacks too.
I have not marked a starting point for this cache as due to development in the area, it will change rapidly over the next year or two. There is more than one possible parking place, but the will lead you to the same saddle. From the saddle, there are two access trails to the cache, both are clear and obvious.
The cache has been set to mark a Scout Camp that was held to celebrate 100 Year of Scouting. As it was a Scout Camp for Joey Scouts and Cub Scouts, the camp was called the Hop 'n' Howl - hence the name of the cache. The site of the camp is clearly visible from the cache site - look for wide open spaces below.
