UPDATE Dec 2010: With supplies dwindling, have included a small container at the posted coordinates, hanging on the fence. Inside, you will find a Simba flashlight to measure, if required. Please do not remove!
I hope you've noticed them, and kept one, or more, tucked away in your geobag. Quick description & refresher: couple of inches long, blue, with a green screw-on lense. Holds 1 AA battery. Has "Simba" on the switch, with a little lion cub (and there is an Energizer logo on the light).
The important detail you will need to figure out is how long these little flashlights are, in milli-meters. I grabbed one, and took a (very) accurate measurement with some calipers: we will call this length XX.
Now go to the posted coordinates. You will find a nice shiny copper tag on a post, with two numbers that you need to complete a projection. Take the first number, and multiply by XX, to get the distance, in mm (thank me later), to the cache. Take the second number, add XX, and this is the bearing (true north) to the cache.
UPDATE Dec/10: The cache is a 2kg peanut butter jar, hanging in a tree, about 4 feet off the ground, so very winter friendly.
Cache location is easy to grab, within a one KM of the posted coordinates. Setup in a night friendly manner. No perilous action is required to retrieve the cache.
Enjoy.
