Geocache Description:

In Beaudry park, easly acesible by foot, bike or cross country skies, Accesible year round.

One of our favorite parks close to city and a great place to ski. From the minute you enter the river bottom forest you know you're somewhere special. These woods are home to some of the largest elm, cottonwood and maple trees in the area. In the summer on either side of the well- marked paths there is a lush green carpet of ferns and wild grapevines rising 12 m/40 ft. to the treetops. In the winter groomed cross country ski trails will take around the park. In any season if you feel like you're being watched, you're probably right. White-tailed deer, fox,
owls, raccoons, beaver and muskrat are plentiful. Walking out of the forest, wander by tall grass prairie in the process of being restored to its natural state. (Write-up adapted from Manitoba conservation website.) Accessible all year round; however, if you come by Skidoo please stay on the river as motorized vehicles not permitted in park. Please be carefull to replace as found
