She says: I pass this place a few times a month and I stop everytime. Last week, mid-October, as I started up the mountain it was sunny. The higher I climbed, the darker it got. Soon I found myself in the clouds. It was so beautiful. When I reached the summit I stopped to place this cache. As the mist floated by I got glimpses of the sunny valley below; it was great.

I am hoping this will be a nice cache for folks visiting the area to "leaf peep" or ski.

From mid-October thru the spring thaw, we advise you to visit the Vermont Agency of Transportation's road information website to get road conditions and closure info. Look for Route 17 between Rts 116 and 100, southwest of Montpelier.

No matter which direction you approach from, make sure you've "Got Brakes."...and coolant, especially in summer!
