Geocache Description:

Welcome to Clayton, New Mexico! Here's a quick cache near a photo opportunity that the kids will love. Its a pill bottle with a logbook only. Bring a pen to sign the log.

Next to the Clayton / Union County Chamber and Welcome Center are two replica dinosaurs. Do you know what kind they are? Up at the state park there are dinosaur tracks!

Please tell me a little about your journey in your online log! What have you experienced on the way here? What do you think of Clayton? Your stories are my payment for placing this cache and when you "cut-and-paste" or "TNLN" you're not paying me back. You don't like those type of logs on your caches, do you?

Just a note to thos folks passing though the area during winter months. Our weather can be very harsh with high winds, heavy, drifting snow, and road closures. Big storms can close both highways 87 and 56 between here and Raton / Springfield. For road conditions in the area call 800-432-4269.
