This cache is at a picnic area near Wanakena located at the original site of CCC Camp-S-84 between 1933-1938.
This is where my Grandfather worked as a young man. They were in charge of keeping the phone line in working order that went to Cat Mountain fire tower among other duties. If you have time, hike the nature trail around the old camp. It will take 10-20 minutes.
