LES COMBARELLES Traditional Cache

The cache is just beyond the UNESCO World Heritage Site, situated just off the D47 east of Les Eyzies. The narrow sinuous cave is famous for over 600 prehistoric (Magdalenian) engravings and is open all year round except Saturdays & public holidays. However, only 8 or so people are allowed in at a time so you need to book in advance in Les Eyzies (or phone 05 53 06 86 00) if you want to visit the cave. There is ample parking at the site. The microcache is in a low cliff at the top of a small bank.
