Geocache Description:

Bothamley Park (Porirua) Family & wheelchair friendly (read description)

This cache is Porirua City Council Approved

This is a "CACHE IN TRASH OUT" area.

This cache is a family friendly cache - parents be aware there is a creek in the valley beside the road that can be dangerous.

In Good weather there are suitable picnic spots in the valley.

This cache is pushchair friendly if you use the Bothamley Park vehicle entry at S41 08 059 E 174 51.247 this is a near flat 400 metre roadway to the cache.

Wheel chair and disability people should have an able bodied person with them for safety as this park is a low user area and to recover the cache for them. It is not possible for a person in a wheel chair to recover the cache alone.

Mobility Scooters should NOT be used as these have distance limiting battery life and you could get stranded in the park.

The tracks can have loose gravel and potholes that have water in them at times. Not all wheel chairs could access this cache, use discretion.

For others there are several other entry points closer but have steps and/or are quite steep some with rutted surfaces.
