Located in Alt Park. Terrain is pretty easy until the last leg of the hunt. Some minor bushwhacking may be required. Mud and/or snow could make this a bit more challenging.
This is the our second cache also located in one of our favorite hangouts. This park was donated to our village by Mrs. Alt in 1980 and is now used for soccer, football, baseball, and softball. You will find Zookid and Kayleekins here on any given Saturday in the spring and fall, which in turn means Zoogrl and E51 are close by. This place is VERY busy on Saturdays when the kids have games. Most other times, it's fairly quiet. Even on practice days, it's not too bad.
There is a 1.2 mile trail that loops the park. It is well-marked and a nice easy walk. The trailhead is near the entrance of the park. You do not have to walk the trail to find the cache. It's about a .5 mile walk if you skip the sightseeing (but that's half the fun, right?!) There is some room for small trade items in the cache.
We have placed a new geocoin in the cache, a USA pin, and other assorted goodies. Enjoy!!
