Geocache Description:

Located in Victoria's third permanent settlement.

This is located just off the highway to Phillip Island, in the township that is the third permanent settlement in Victoria.

The GZ is at the entrance to the Home of the Killy Bass Panthers, an AFL side in the local Alberton league! Go Panthers!

The surgeon, George Bass rowed a whaling boat from NSW to TAS & VIC, landing not far from this cache site on 4 January 1793.

Dr George Bass was born on 30 January 1771 and after many adventures, finally disappeared in 1805.

This park has several historical markers to wander around briefly. Look for the Multi-cache "Mathew's mate (GCX90V)" just nearby too!
