Beautiful trail takes you to an even-more-beautiful beach, if you choose to go there.
This is a well-concealed, small, Tupperware container with a few goodies that might interest a small-size geocacher. It's hidden within 10 feet or so of the trail, as requested by park staffer Eric. Limited parking nearby. Park staff asks that you let them know at the ranger station that you're headed out for a hike.
(Please be aware that the current feeling about geocaching in this park is not positive -- there are lots of fun caches hidden there, and some beautiful areas to hike and have fun with the family, the dog, friends, etc. But the park management is not excited about promoting geocaching because there's been some bad behavior by geocachers at a park nearby that has a burial plot, which should, obviously, be treated with some reverence. Pictures have been posted in cache logs hidden there showing geocachers not acting with dignity at those locations. We recommend a proactive campaign to reestablish geocachers as good park guests, which includes bringing a trash bag to CITO. Good, clean park, so you may need to use the same effort you would in looking for that cache, in retrieving discarded cans, paper, etc. Thanks so much! Have fun enjoying the "real Florida!")
