Geocache Description:

A 1.5L cliptop hidden near a lookout on the Matilda Walk trail. Apart from the small climb up from the parking area, the walk is actually quite flat.

The Mt Matilda Walk Trail is a five kilometre return hike - allow a minimum of two hours for the walk. Follow the yellow triangular markers with Mallee Fowl footprints. There are four lookouts along the trail.
Add 2.5Km and 45 minutes if doing the Speakers Chair spur.

Remember, take plenty of water with you and drink small amounts frequently, if you get thirsty it's already too late.

Brief History
The Wongan Hills Nature Reserve is home to a variety of vegetation with a huge selection of colourful wildflowers and Gimlet trees. The area has been a source of fascination to naturalists since its discovery.

There are many rare and endangered plants that only occur in the Wongan Hills, so please take extreme care at all times.
