Geocache Description:

This is a micro that contains log only. Located at the new Fredericksburg bus station off Jefferson Davis Highway across from Cowan Blvd.

The old Fredericksburg bus terminal started off as an 1100 sq. ft. gas staion in the 1950's. In 1965 it became the local stop for the Greyhound bus system. It was a very busy over crowded station. In 1997 the local FRED bus system started using the terminal for the local regional bus system as well. In 2002 the city of Fredericksburg purchased the property from Greyhound for $260,00.00 and closed the station down. In 2003 the city tore down the old building and allocated more than 5 million dollars to build a new, larger modern station to be used as the Greyhound bus stop and the main terminal for the FRED transit system. After several years of planning and construction the new bus terminal is nearly complete and will have its grand opening October 27, 2007. What a beautuful place it is, over 7000 sq, ft. of modern architecture consisting of Glass and steel. The official name of the new facility is " The Lawrence A. Davies Transit center" There are numerous concrete benches under the canopy and it is very near one of these concrete benches, on the southern end, that you will find this micro. You can not park directly at the terminal but there is off street side parking nearby. Once the terminal is open and in full swing there will be a lot of muggles coming and going. Stealth is a must for this hide. After you find this micro please take your time returning it to it's hiding spot and replace it exactly as found. If you have never ridden the FRED bus system now is your chance to give it a try or take a trip on Greyhound to some distant destination because Yes...the Bus Does Stop Here ..Remember to BYOP..I raised the difficulty factor a little because of the major muggle factor, now that the station is open.
