Geocache Description:

Cache is located in Augusta Township, Carroll County, Ohio, at the Mt. Zion Church and Cemetery.

A Methodist church was started in Augusta in 1827. Begun as prayer meetings in the home of Mrs. Weston, the members met as a church in the old Wesleyan Church. It was a very small and somewhat dilapidated building and stood where the Leyda and Hague burial lots are in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. It was first a Methodist Episcopal church. The current church was built around 1840 and has been maintained by descendants of the first members. Soon after this church was built, the congregation no longer had circuit riding preachers. The church still meets every Sunday.

Container is a camo taped pill bottle.
