As you approach this
cache, you will notice nearby Industrial buildings.... a
building had been planned for this location, but sometimes,
unknown forces prevent any 'evolution'.
Upon this site was a normal
home, with what hosted a string of what were normal families.
However, the location was believed by those who attempted to live
there as haunted. No one family stayed in the house for more than 6
months after moving in.
The house was torn down in the
mid-90's, as the surrounding areas were transformed into industrial
properties. It was one of the first cleared properties, but yet,
the land still sits empty. Many believe its due to a property
owner, or a problem with the land, however the true story is much
darker.
Several attempts were made to
survey the land, yet, to the surprise of the contractors the land
seemed to rise, and fall, as if breathing. Holes and pits appeared
and disappeared without warning. Trucks would get stuck, or not
start at all. Equipment that was previously working fine was
mysteriously non-functioning only at the site.
Concrete would not set, foundations would not stay stable.
Something was seriously wrong.
The landowners did not want to
create a fuss over the location, or further the strange stories
already being passed from worker to worker, so they decided to
leave the land empty, and undeveloped. For now.
The land seems to have a desire
for vengeance, and the true story lies in the history BEFORE the
history - the land was indeed a burial ground. In this area there
is a nearby Paupers Cemetery - but many families could not afford
burial, and the often corrupt workers who's job was to dispose of
the 'unwanted' dead would many times bury, or dump the bodies in
local fields, or even in large mass graves. Most of these areas sit
today, built over, or unknown, unnoticed. This land, however is
haunted by its dead - angry about their long gone stolen
possessions, the disrespect at which they were left to join the
Earth. They are not at rest.
Like the problems told about
other electronic instruments, our GPS would not keep a steady
reading at this site - it was all over the place. So, be observant,
and keep your eyes and ears open while seeking.
Look for traces of the
mysterious happenings at this location, or even for remnants of the
past.
