Picture This Traditional Cache

“Picture This” another cache celebrating what makes the north state spectacular, beautiful vistas and recreational opportunities galore.
“Picture This” was discovered during an afternoon Nordic skiing trek with family and dog. We parked .9 miles from the cache, where winter road maintenance ends, and skied up the road. We came to a clearing to see creek-side rocks looking like mushrooms capped with snow, then looked east, to the surprisingly unobstructed view of Mt. Shasta.
Whether driving in the dry three seasons, or traveling in winter by foot, snowshoe, or ski, this is a MUST, if only to gaze at the confluence of the waterways, boulders made bare by the springtime high water, to fish, or to snap a picture of Shasta. Some cars, even in winter, will drive this road with snow tires. You might even see some boarders, on snow mobiles heading up to places unknown-to-me for their own winter fun.
After bagging “Picture This” be sure to head back down the road to “Scouts Honor.” When the road is clear, there are some special caches up on the ridge.
The cache is accessible to all if there is snow on the ground. If "height challenged" it may be a bit of a reach.
