Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden on a wooded hill top south of Salem Pond in Harold Parker State Forest. Several different trails will get you close with a short bushwhack at the end. Depending on your choice of trails and parking spots, you will walk at least a half mile to the cache site. If you prefer to bushwhack, check a topo map to avoid the swampy areas.

This is a military themed cache hidden to honor our veterans and current service members on Veterans' Day 2007. You will find an ammo can filled with various military uniform patches, several of which I wore during my 20+ years of service. Feel free to take a patch or two whether or not you have one to trade.. If you do have a military/police/boy scout etc. patch it is welcome, but please try to keep trades to the patch theme.
This is a State Forest and hunting is allowed in season, so you may want to wear appropriate orange gear.
Most direct trail we found leaves Salem Pond Road at N42 36.404, W 071 04.471 at tree with yellow arrow. Or if you come in from Bradford Pond, a side trail at N42 36.241, W071 04.694 at the tree with orange dots. Official trail maps can be found at (visit link) but some of the maps on the mountain bike clubs' sites may be better.
