Old IRONy Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

NCreviewer: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact me (by email through my profile), and assuming it meets the guidelines, I'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Behind an old building, terrain is cut grass walk, some roots. Pull up into drive way, just so car is out of road. Is fine to park here.

"Inhabited by Meherrin Indians long before it was chartered as Hertford County's oldest town, Winton is situated on the banks of the Chowan River. Winton was the one of the first towns in the Confederacy sacked by Union troops during the Civil War. It was burnt to the ground in February, 1862. Winton enjoyed a revival in the latter part of the 19th century. Historic and cultural attractions include the Century Post Office Museum, the Old Church Cemetery, C.S. Brown Regional Cultural Arts Center and Museum and the Colonial Kitchen Museum. " Winton Profile offered by unknown author, but can be seen at (visit link)

LOG ENCLOSED. The container is something you might hesitate to grab, but, he won't bother you, his belly is full. This hide is behind something that rarely exists anymore, as most have been stolen from similar locations. I think this "not so obvious" place, is the reason it is still here!
