Geocache Description:

On a mountain road,you'll find a sign.Erected by S.O.H.S. in 1979.

This sign shows the existance of a Wagon road.Constructed by the Thomas brothers,in 1858-1860.
It was operated by Lindsay Applegate,from 1860-1869.
Who operated it later? Please e-mail me the name(s).
It was later replaced by Pacific Highway in 1915.
The sign can be found at;-N42 05.037,W122 35.622.
That's up the road,about 80'ft,on the other side.
The cache is a green tin,with log,pencil,and a few goodies.
