The World Wide Flash Mob Caching Event, November 10th,
2007
Are you ready to be a part of Geocaching history?!?
Flash Mob (FLASH mawb) n. A large group of people who gather in
a usually predetermined location, perform some brief action, and
then quickly disperse. —v., —adj.
The Basic Idea: A "Flash Mob" Gathering of
Geocachers.
Only 15 minutes long!
You MUST be present and sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim
the event.
You've hear of MEGA-EVENTS? This is quite the opposite in a
variety of ways. A flash mob is a large group of people who
assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a
brief period of time, then quickly disperse. FLASH MOBS have
gathered for other reasons. Come be part of this historic event!
WWFM (World Wide Flash Mob)
Event: ~Dozens of events all around the world ~Thousands of
geocachers participating ~Coordinated to happen at the same time
~To bring together geocachers for a fun and unique event ~To
introduce others (muggles) to the fun of geocaching Check out all
the other scheduled WWFM events These events will last EXACTLY 15
minutes, not one second longer. If any muggles are curious about
the event we will have a volunteer hand out fliers that explain
geocaching. Tell your friends and help promote the event! There may
be several muggles nearby who will wonder "What did I just see?
What just happened?" (That's part of the fun!)
If your interested in helping out send me a email I should
respond within 24hrs more details to follow as the event draws
closer.
Did I mention a FTF prize also: Log sign in sheets will be used
as raffle tickets to draw from.
BE A PART OF GEOCACHING HISTORY JOIN THE FUN !!!
Important, BYOP: Bring Your Own Pen!!! Keep it handy. You won't
have time to go "find" one. Note:( *___ ) indicates an job /
position that will be filled by a volunteer. We will have
volunteers chosen / designated prior to that morning. *We will
create instruction sheets for each volunteer so that no one will
have to explain duties / responsibilities. Instructions /
expectations will all be on the specific sheets.
Note: If there are "many" participants, each designated
volunteer may need to "deputize" a few people to help out with his
/ her job.
