Only 15 minutes long! You MUST be present and sign the log sheet
DURING this time to claim the event. Please BYOP! (Bring your own
pen) This event is part of the WWFM - World Wide Flash Mob
coordinated events. Here are the other events going on all over the
world simultaneously:

FYI -- A Flash Mob is a large group of people who assemble
suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period
of time, and then quickly disperse.
DATE: Saturday, November 10, 2007
TIME: 9:00AM to 9:15AM (ONLY 15 minutes!)
WHERE: Northridge Mall, north parking lot (we have a verbal OK from
mall office)
WHAT: An instant geocacher mob
You've heard of mega-events? This is quite the opposite. This
event will last exactly 15 minutes, not one second longer! This
event will be one small part of the WWFM (World Wide Flash Mob)
event. This event (and all others around the globe in their time
zone) will begin precisely at 9:00AM PST on Saturday, November
10th.
8:45 - 8:59AM - Participants: Wait patiently in your automobile or
stroll around the area.
STAY AWAY from ground zero! As much as you, can act like a
muggle.
At 8:59AM make your way toward the event coordinates.
At exactly 9:00AM (as determined by your GPS clock) three stations
will appear at adjacent light poles. You may go to these stations
in any order, as desired. The only REQUIRED station is Station
1.
Station 1 (EMC of Northridge, CA): get your log sheet, move out of
the way to sign/sticker it, drop it in the log sheet inbox.
Station 2 (Don J): get your event "meal" of (what else?) Halloween
candy, leftover and on sale.
Station 3 (OLdweeb): swap TBs and coins. There will be NO time for
discoveries! Either swap actively or don't stop by this
station.
At 9:10AM, we will all gather at Station 1 for a group photo. (I
can take it... or can I get a volunteer??)
At exactly 9:15AM, the log sheets will be packed up and sealed
away.
The event area will be evacuated without a trace, and the event
coordinators will be leaving with the log sheets, candy, and any
TBs or coins.
Note: Although participants are welcome to get together after the
event, the event will officially be over at 9:15. Afterwards, at
the meeting, participants may chat, meet, eat and plan for a day of
caching!!!
If everything goes right we will have lots of people coming out of
nowhere and gathering for 15 minutes, hold a geocaching event, and
then disappearing… This could be lots of fun and maybe even raise a
few muggle eyebrows!
If you plan to attend, it would be a good idea to watch this
listing, in case there are any last-minute updates.
Also, there will be a drawing for prizes for a few lucky winners
from all of the world-wide participants! I'll be sending in the log
sheets as your entries.
