Sidling Hill Creek
This cache has been 'disabled' for quite some time. Recent upgrades to the Western Maryland Rail Trail (WMRT) have extended the Trail four (4) more miles, to Little Orleans. This cache is located along that upgrade. The original cache disappeared during the recent construction phase. The decking on the original steel trestle is superb with viewing portals on the River side.
Bring your camera. This is a picturesque place year round. The railroad bridge and the C&O Canal aqueduct exist within spitting distance of each other. Well, almost. The Potomac River is in view as well.
Finding this cache will require a vigorous application of search skills. It is small, contains a bit a swag and a mechanical pencil. Placing yourself in peril is NOT necessary to nab this cache.
