Geocache Description:

Do not attempt this cache during or after a heavy rain. The nearby creek swells quickly and can be dangerous.

This cache is #1 in the wayside walkabout series. Please bring a bag and do a little CITO while here!!! Cache is located in the wayside between Northbound and Southbound Rt. 1. Wayside Park was a big tourist stop from the 50's to the early 70's. Before I95 was built all East coast traffic had to traffic had to use RT 1. The park was a nice picnic area along the way. The park was closed in the early 70's because of illicit activities in the park. Be sure to visit my other cache in the Wayside also. The path to the cache can be very steep depending on the route you take.
