Best time of day is between 15h30-17h30 when the enthusiasts
sneak out of work early for a quick flight. There is a puzzle to
solve, but it's just to take you to the best places!
We wanted to call it Kitty Hawk's Cache, but the kiddo wanted
"Things with Wings" - Minority rules! And we quite like it
anyway!
The first cache was muggled, so we've re-planted it.
You may see a some "things with wings" taking off, landing and
being serviced in the buildings on the way to the cache...
To find the cache:
- Head out on the Boschkop road to the published co-ordinates.
Park in the demarcated areas and stroll to the published spot,and
from there you will see the clubhouse, which, if you look at it
from above in GoogleEarth is shaped like a KittyHawk. You will also
see the two runways and hopefully a plane or two taking off and
landing.
- Count the number of Square Pillars (see pic) that support the
veranda of the Clubhouse. Call this value "P".
- a=P+1
b=P+3
c=P+2
d=P/P
e=P-P
f=P+3
- The cache is at S25 51.abc E28 27.def
- Go find it!
There is a nice restaurant there at the clubhouse.
