We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy. We even have Village Vexation. But what about public transport users? SideTracked Caches are intended to provide quick cache-and-dashes at train stations. It is hoped this idea will spread across the country in the same way as the MMs.
About Yardley Wood station
On the rare occasions I do not cycle to work, this is where I catch my train. The station forms part of the branch line from Birmingham Snow Hill and Birmingham Moor Street stations to Shirley and Stratford-upon-Avon. It has its own car park (bristling with CCTV cameras) and dedicated cycle parking facilities. On weekdays you may need to park a few minutes walk away on account of heavy commuter parking in the area.
About the cache
The cache is an SD card container within a pouch which it is hoped will prevent dirt / damp ingress. It contains nothing but a logbook so please bring your own pen / pencil. The FTF will also find the Messe Caught Ya! micro coin in the pouch. Following comments on the difficulty of extracting the cache I have added a "handle" to the pouch. Please replace the cache with the handle outwards and as far out of view as possible.
If you can get a microcoin into (and shut) the SD card container please feel free to do so. However, please do not leave coins in the bag as this can make it extremely hard to extract the cache. Thanks.
