A number of geocaches along the River Lostock, or close to it. This section, south of Leyland, is mainly along riverside field paths, which will be muddy in wet weather.
The footpath along the River Lostock continues south from Leyland, but it has to leave the river to go round the boundary fence of the sewage works (now called Wastewater Treatment - Leyland). As you follow the fence you will see a family of concrete tanks - Daddy Tank, Mummy Tank, Baby Tank and three grown-up triplet tanks. They live in Pong Alley.
Update Feb 2014. Stiles have been replaced by gates on this footpath. Cache has been moved slightly and hint changed. If bending down to retrieve cache, take care of thorns on branches of tree.
Update October 2018. Name of cache edited to remove number (7). Some caches on the trail have been archived, so the remainder are now stand alone, not part of a series.
