River Lostock - NTL - Normal Tidal Limit

One of a number of geocaches along the River Lostock, mainly on field paths, but some, such as this one, are accessible by minor roads and tracks.
You may be able to smell the briny from here, because this is the NTL of the River Lostock (Normal Tidal Limit), although it's still a long way to the coast. So this is an appropriate location for our journey westwards along the river to end. We hope you've enjoyed it (or at least some of it!).
Update 05 August 2018. The original hide and striding man hint item on West side of track have been demolished and replaced by a wide steel gate with a built-in stile - very unusual. A replacement cache has been placed on the opposite side of the track (East side). Co-ords and hint updated.
Update October 2018 - Name of cache edited to remove number (13). Some caches on the trail have been archived, so the remainder are now stand alone, not part of a series.
