Geocache Description:

An easy drive-up once you get the solution. Optics was one of my favorite courses in optometry school.

The cache is not a the posted coordinates!

Cache is at N41 02.x W111 31.y6

If an object is in a pool under exactly 932.33cm of water, how deep will it appear to be, in cm? As the refractive indices of air and water use 1 and 1.33, respectively. This depth gives you a number 'x' for your latitude (round to a whole number)

If an object is placed before a plus lens with a focal length of 9cm, how many centimeters apart will the object and its image be if they are both the same distance from the lens itself? This distance is the number 'y' for your longitude.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geocheck.org.
