I is for Indians! The original inhabitants and the School mascot is the Indians. The area is steeped in Indian history from the battles at Ft. Toulouse/Jackson to the many Creek Indian Chiefs that came from the area and went on to carve out their place in Alabama and U.S. history. Many streets in Wetumpka are derived from Indian names and from the culture itself. We encourage everyone to explore Alabama History, and research Wetumpka in particular.
Your at the “Home” of the Indians, the current day battle field for those who dare to take on the tribe. Some will say that during the fall of the year, if you listen real close, you can hear the War Cries of their warriors and the drums beating from the “Pride of the Tribe”. Of course, if you just pay your entrance fee, you can watch the whole battle unfold before your eyes. Enjoy!
FTF - BamaGirl! Found on the night of the AGA Dinner River Region.
