Geocache Description:

This event will be held at the Escalante’s Mexican Restaurant, (Near Meyerland Plaza) at Beechnut & 610, in the S.W. corner, of the 610 loop, from 5pm-9pm-ish. Come on over after work and hang out, talk about geocaching, and have a bite to eat, or a Margarita. Look for us in the front bar area of the restaurant. Please post to this page or email me as early as you can.

This event is for those who were fortunate enough to get to go to GW6 to pass on their stories of adventure on the Left Coast to those unable to attend.

OK folks, the DFW, Austin, & San Antonio groups have it all over us on frequency of events and frankly I'm jealous. SO, I have decided to do something about it to lead by example. Not jealous anymore! Now many others are taking on the task of hosting frequent events. Sorta makes me proud.... ;)

This event would be called "Any 'ol Monday in The Armpit of the Universe, 'CEPT THE FIRST MONDAY!," (inspired by the Beaumont cacher's, "First Mondays in Beaumont") but there wasn't enough room. After several events, folks just call it "Any 'ol Monday" now. It has been shortened A.'O.M. for this event...

I intend to have a Monday gathering whenever possible (if not EVERY month) without doing it to death as long as my schedule permits. It will always be on Monday, but it will NEVER fall on the FIRST Monday of a given month out of respect to folks who want to make the trip to Beaumont and also so our Beaumont cachin' family has an excuse to come here.

Everyone really enjoyed the last 12 events (That's 11 official and 1 "No Smiley, Just Smiles" event.) that I held here. (I still can't believe the turnout we get for a Monday night event.) I even held my rehearsal wedding dinner here.

The prices are reasonable and the food and service are excellent. BTW - The white chedder queso is to die for!!! YUMM!
