Ron & Lois: We stopped by today to check on this cache and verified that it was missing...and probably has been missing since the 3 DNF's were logged in Dec 2020, Jan 2021 and Mar 2021. That would mean that the other people who claimed that they found it AFTER March 2021 were probably lying. One person even claimed that it was stuffed into the electrical wiring access hole (the cover was missing - hopefully not discarded by a geocacher). Because this lamp post has no skirt on it, we determined that it was not a good location to hide a replacement, and for that reason, we are archiving this cache. Those who claimed the find after it was most likely gone will have to live with the fact that they are cheating only themselves.

Geocache Description:

Cache is a micro with only a log. Thanks to one of our caching friends (Team S & B) it is slightly different than the rest of the caches in this series (see the hint or the October log for more information). It should be handicap accessable most of the year, and it is definitely a park & grab. If you don't like the easy park & grab urban caches, you won't like this one either. Stealth is definitely required.

This type of cache is frequently found in larger cities and urban areas. It is a quick and easy find, and the biggest challenge to it will be to avoid the muggles. The cache is located in a high traffic area, and intended to copy something called the Gas Saver Series (GSS) that we saw a couple weeks back in LaPorte, IN. Though we don't designate them as "GSS", they are a series of caches placed in close proximity on the same rainy day (what can I say...it was too wet to geocache and we were bored). There are also a number of "Country Caches" near all of these caches for those who want to take a walk with their caching. Container is a small pill bottle or a film canister with a log, and no writing utensil, so byop.
