Larger than Life
This is our first cache hide. It is placed in memory of "Big George" Greenwalt who passed away on August 5, 2007 after a battle with cancer. Big George was a larger than life man who never backed down from a challenge, never ran away when the going got tough, faced everything head on, and always honored his commitment to family and friends. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1964 in Vietnam. He was honored with the Purple Heart. He was the ultimate car lover and built many custom hot rods over the years. He was also the founder and president of the Road Radicals Car Club. He was the owner of Big Roman's Pizzeria, in Micco, FL. Mention the name "Big George" to anyone in the area and chances are that person's life was touched by Big George.
We happened upon this little park not too long ago and actually thought it would be a great place for a cache. Then, Tony (Seastar's Rent-a-Kid), emailed and suggested we place our first cache here. So, here it is.
You are looking for a somewhat well-cammoed container approximately the same size as a 35 mm film cannister. GZ is good.....better if you approach from the right direction. Although we love the trees for shade, they really play havoc with the GPS'r. So, we did our best. If you use common Geo-sense, and pay attention to the title and theme of this cache, you will find this one easily.
PLEASE return the cache to it's hiding spot, EXACTLY as you found it, so the next cachers can enjoy this one too.
This little park is expanding, take a stroll over the newly constructed bridge. We'll be placing a multi-stage cache here soon, so keep your eyes peeled for it!!
