Geocache Description:

The cache is located along the Hans C. & Lida H. Berthusen Memorial Park Interpretive Trail system west of Lynden. Please enjoy the park and tread lightly. Lets keep our parks clean and healthy for our kids and grand-kids to enjoy!

This is another one of those fantastic parks in Whatcom County. It has a multitude of things to do including looking at the old historic buildings and machinery, walk the many trails, ride your bikes, and picnic with the family or large groups. The best place to park is near N48.57.779 / W122.30.693, next to the horse-shoe pits and picnic area. Follow the trail to the right of the baseball field. A little ways into the park there is a post-box with park and trail info inside. Keep the stream / creek on your left as you walk. The container is a small plastic cammo container. It contains a small log book, a pen (smart to bring your own)and some small toy items to trade (bring the kids). Please be careful of you know who, and don't trash the area. Please remember to cover up the container in it's hiding spot when leaving. Have fun in the park and please obey all the rules posted. Feel free to post pictures of your favorite spot of the park. Congradulations go to Lola & The Gnome for the "first to find". Thanks, DaddyA.
