Geocache Description:

MOUNT TALBERT'S FRONT PORCH

Mount Talbert Nature Park is 183 acres of undeveloped forest on one of several extinct volcanoes in Clackamas County.  Owned by North Clackamas Parks and Recreation, this butte stands out from it's neighbors with its lack of stripped hillsides and housing construction.  During the summer of 2007, NCPRD and Metro joined forces to create an actual trailhead leading to the 4.2 miles of trails winding up and around the hill.  While the park still needs plenty of work, they did a nice job here.  They've creating a parking lot that fits nicely into the surroundings.  The area includes public restrooms, drinking water, and covered picnic tables.  This cache will bring you to a nice place to start the hunt for the other caches on the butte.

I've seen plenty of dogs in the park, but the area is posted "No Pets."
