My kids sited and deposited this one in a beautiful canyon offshoot from Penasquitos Canyon. You are approaching the site when the Hwy 56 overpass is within view. A small waterfall/creek crossing and vibrant marsh is nearby. (10/28/07 by Lostinpq)

You can reach it from the trail entrance to the E. of PVES (~.8 mi) or you can come in the back easy way off of Darkwood. Park at the end of Darkwood before Parkrun. There is an entrance to the trail right there. From there it is a nice & easy grab.
